The keys to what make Rotel's RC-1590MKII perform so well begin with its power supply, featuring dual, in-house manufactured toroidal transformers. One is for analog signals, and one is for digital. The transformers are physically and electrically isolated, supplying dedicated analog and digital supply voltages to all critical circuits through low ESR slit-foil capacitors. This precise architecture eliminates interference and distortion, and it results in an extremely low noise floor.
The elegant front panel of the RC-1590MKII includes more than a dozen easy-access source controls, a large, precision volume controller, a headphone connection, and a USB connection for iOS audio playback.
Digital source inputs are processed utilizing an audiophile-grade, Texas Instruments 32-bit/384kHz digital-to-analog converter (DAC), with custom-engineered, proprietary acoustically tuned external output filter circuits. Even the most subtle sonic details are rendered with exceptional clarity. RC-1590MKII supports a wide array of inputs, ensuring connection to your favorite sources, including a moving-magnet (MM) phono input. Other capabilities of this Roon-Tested component include XLR balanced outputs, high-quality aptX and AAC Bluetooth for wireless streaming, plus PC-USB (32-bit/384kHz) supporting MQA decoding and rendering. Dual RCA and XLR output connections provide tremendous flexibility, including bi-amplification installations. Additionally, a subwoofer output is included.
