Your Reference Command Center for Digital Source: Japanese-Made Luxman DA-07X DAC Blends State-of-the-Art Circuitry and Exceptional Analog Output Stage, Features Dual-Mono BD34301EKV Chips
Designed as a reference command center for all digital sources, the Luxman DA-07X DAC merges cutting-edge circuitry with the company’s near-century-long analog expertise in a component that helps music sing with life, airiness, expressiveness, and detail. Able to accommodate the output of computers, network players, CD players, game consoles, TVs, and even smartphones, the Japanese-built DA-07X is made for the present and the future.
Leveraging the critically acclaimed technology of the company’s D-07X SACD/CD player and combining it with a state-of-the-art analog output system, DA-07X supports up to DSD 22.5MHz, 32-bit/768kHz PCM, and MQA. Built-in protocols for TIDAL, UPnP, and Spotify Connect complement original Windows/Mac playback software for ease of use. A high-definition OLED display with a four-stage dimmer serves as one of the visual highlights of a gorgeous chassis with an extra-thick bottom comprised of two steel plates and cast-iron insulator feet with built-in density gradient, each lending to high rigidity and stellar isolation characteristics.
Taking a look at the back panel, a USB, AES/EBU, two coaxial, and two optical inputs accompany wide-pitch RCA and XLR output terminals to give you the connectivity you need now — and later. In addition, a digital-output off function shuts down unnecessary signal paths to conserve processing bandwidth while a DD converter allows digital signals to get bussed through the unit entirely unprocessed. An output phase-switch selector even permits connections to next-stage components. You can switch it on the front panel, which also includes buttons for digital filter selection, digital filter switch, and operation.
As beautiful as the 28.2-pound DA-07X looks on the outside, the real fireworks are located inside. There, Luxman’s proven, highly regulated power supplies provide stable, steady energy by way of three separate OI core-type transformers, regulation systems, and filter capacitors for each individual block. The DAC block relies on benchmark BD34301EKV DAC chips from ROHM’s “MUS-IC” series arrayed in a dual-mono configuration. DA-07X’s high-end clocking system has two ultra-low phase noise clock modules with high precision and low jitter, reducing noise near the oscillation frequency to a minimum. To achieve even lower jitter, asynchronous communication by a dedicated DSP is used for the USB input and a high-precision DAIR clock handles S/PDIF signals. And the analog output stage boasts outstanding current/voltage conversion specifications. It receives the differential output of each DAC chip in mono mode. Perfectionist-minded buffer circuitry and fully balanced output architecture further improve the signal impedance.
Indeed, every last stitch of the 3.62 x 17.32 x 15.83-inch (HWD) DA-07X has been researched, chosen, and tested to focus on all that matters: scintillating sound. Per tradition, Luxman ensured everything from the non-angled PCB tracing pattern (for smooth sonics) to the internal OFC cable wiring contributes to remarkable listening experiences. A three-year manufacturer warranty and our 60-Day Satisfaction Guarantee give you all the security you need to hear how DA-07X can change how you listen to music and more.
