Stream High-Res PCM and DSD256 to Almost Any DAC: Roon-Ready iFi Zen Stream Sends Music from Internet with No Loss in Quality
Compatible with any DAC with USB or S/PDIF connections, the iFi Zen Stream streamer sends music from the internet to your DAC with no loss in quality. This open-source Wi-Fi audio transport serves as a high-end bridge between your Wi-Fi network and audio system, and also functions as a hassle-free Roon endpoint. Able to support up to 32-bit/384kHz PCM, DSD256, and MQA, Zen Stream features open-source architecture, a 64-bit quad-core ARM Cortex microprocessor, synchronous 1.6MHz power-supply controller, and audiophile-grade capacitors and inductors.
To set up the Roon-ready Zen Stream, you can use the Hotspot button on the unit’s front panel to join a Wi-Fi network. Whether you connect wirelessly or via an Ethernet cable, this petite device is an instant gateway to services such as TIDAL, Spotify, and more. Zen Stream directs packets of audio data received over Wi-Fi or Ethernet cable straight to your connected DAC without applying any processing. In addition, both digital outputs — the SuperSpeed USB3.0 port with Active Noise Cancellation II and S/PDIF out with built-in iPurifier — are regulated by femto-precision GMT (Global Master Timing) circuitry to eradicate jitter from the digital audio signal.
For listeners who want to experiment, Zen Stream also offers "Exclusive" modes: individual settings that deliver the purest possible performance. If activated, this feature shuts down all other programs to minimize distortion.
