The Rega Elys 2 is an excellent Moving Magnet cartridge. When mated with a Rega table, its a match made in heaven. But the Rega Elys 2 will also mate perfectly with any turntable, delivering the natural sonic perspective that Rega is know for the world over. For the money, you would be hard pressed to find a more accurate portrayal of instruments and voices. 

Recent developments in coil winding techniques have allowed Rega to use their innovative parallel wound coil in the Elys 2. This technique uses approximately one third less wire than previous models, thus producing a more efficient and reduced mass cartridge. This MM cartridge sounds extremely fast and detailed, while being true to Rega's natural musicality. Highly recommended on any turntable, but for Rega owners, it's a no-brainer recommendation.
