Elite Home-Theater Performance: Bowers & Wilkins HTM71 S3 Signature Center-Channel Speaker Features Upgraded Components and Uncompromising Finish
Exclusivity by design: The Bowers & Wilkins HTM71 S3 Signature is like no other center-channel speaker on the market. Engineered for seamless integration and cohesive playback with B&W 702 S3 and 705 S3 Signature loudspeakers, HTM71 S3 Signature invites you to experiemce what elite home-theater performance sounds, feels, and looks like. Finished to perfection with multiple coats of high-grade paint or lacquer (depending on your choice of Midnight Blue Metallic paint or Datuk Gloss veneer), and trimmed with gold-colored bright detailing, this is luxury redefined.
Featuring a new Mundorf EVO silver gold oil capacitor with Angelique wire lead-outs for the high-frequency driver; new Bevenbi MPAZ-E polypropylene capacitors with zinc foil for the midrange; new air-core inductors for low-frequency drive units; and new brass speaker terminal posts for a cleaner signal path, HTM71 S3 Signature surpasses even its esteemed HTM71 S3 sibling in all critical areas. It also retains the fundamental basics that make 700 Series a beast.
Most visubly, a one-inch Carbon Dome drive unit housed in the company's signature Tweeter-On-Top enclosure, a five-inch Continuum cone FST midrange driver, and twin five-inch Aerofoil Profile bass cones. Whether your focus is on music, movies, or gaming, HTM71 S3 Signature will take your entertainment to the next level.
Measuring 9.2 x 24.7 x 14 inches (HWD), HTM71 S3 Signature further stands out by way of its solid-body Tweeter-on-Top housing with an elongated form that incorporates a tube-loading system to produce free, open high frequencies. The decoupled housing is milled from a single solid block of aluminum to better resist resonance. Not to be outdone, the Carbon Dome tweeter raises the breakup threshold to 47kHz for pinpoint imaging accuracy and nuanced detail.
The dedicated midrange cone uses four key Bowers & Wilkins technologies: the Continuum cone, FST (Fixed Suspension Transducer), Biomimetic Suspension, and midrange decoupling (which ensures minimal interference from the operation of the bass drivers). Developed using advanced computer-modelling techniques, the Aerofoil Profile drivers have variable thickness, providing stiffness and rigidity where it's needed most. If you want deep, dynamic, lifelike bass tones, look no further. A rear-firing Flowport helps reduce friction and improve efficiency.
Backed by Bowers & Wilkins' five-year manufacturer warranty, HTM71 S3 Signature makes a permanent statement.
“[The] 700 S3 Signature speakers look as good as they sound: lively and dynamic, with effortless imaging and fine-touch detail. For stereo music or 5.1 movies, this series delivers!”

Proprietary FST Technology
Bowers & Wilkins has a long history of technological innovation in its pursuit of the perfect loudspeaker. One example is FST (Fixed Suspension Transducer) midrange drive units, which maximize the effects of Aramid fiber by improving cone response times and the integrity of sound transmission. As the midrange diaphragm only moves a little, Bowers & Wilkins has improved the outer edge cone termination by means of "surroundless" suspension, for ultra-clean midrange performance.
