The Sonic Equivalent of a Michelin-Starred Dining Experience: Internationally Praised Focal Kanta N°2 Floor-Standing Loudspeakers Play with Smoothness, Scope, and Sophistication
Progressive engineering, effectiveness-focused development, and an elegant flair for style make the Focal Kanta N°2 an unforgettable floor-standing loudspeaker that sounds as good as it looks. From the can-I-touch-it-please liquid-gloss finish of its stunning color options to the sultry, sweet high frequencies created by its Infinite Acoustic Loading (IAL) beryllium tweeter, Kanta N°2 delivers the sonic equivalent of a Michelin-starred dining experience. Its ability to conjure holographic images and subtle details from even ordinary recordings is matched only by the room-filling, propulsive demeanor of its exclusive flax-fiber woofers. Kanta N°2 embodies Focal's mission of capturing the sensory experience of musical performances.
Built from the ground up at its headquarters in France, Focal uses locally grown flax for Kanta N°2's woofers due to its incredible durability and light weight. Arranging the material in a unique glass-fiber sandwich design enables Kanta N°2 to deliver transients with megabit-like speed. The remarkable articulation and control exhibited by the 6.5-inch midrange driver and two 6.5-inch woofers owe to TMD (Tuned Mass Damping) suspension and NIC (Neutral Inductive Circuit) motors – innovations developed from the company's universally acclaimed Utopia and Sopra Series. This specialized approach to driver design significantly improves definition and reduces internal resonances. As a result of all the bleeding-edge technology, you'll hear a startling level of transparency that'll have you jumping in your seat at the thwack of a kick drum and marveling at the explosive dynamics of an orchestral crescendo.
Lurking beneath Kanta N°2's luxurious finish is cabinetry made of molded, high-density polymer – a material significantly better at damping vibrations than the MDF commonly used in other speakers. Rounded baffle edges further reduce soundwave diffractions and improve imaging definition. Ported from the front and rear, Kanta N°2 offers flexible room placement options while its rock-solid Zamac base features spikes and floor-protecting cups. A 91dB efficiency rating means Kanta N°2 can be easily driven by a wide variety of amplifiers. Grace-note touches like an elegant, glass-covered top and sonically transparent magnetic grilles make Kanta N°2 a prime example of Focal's commitment to the highest quality fit and finish.
When you're tired of the ordinary, step up to the exceptional Kanta N°2.
