Superb Analog Playback for the Present and Future: Modular, Upgradeable VPI Model One Turntable Features Floating Suspension System, Forever Platter, VPI-S Tonearm, and 10-Year Warranty
Enjoy the present and invest for your analog future with the VPI Model One turntable. The debut entry in the revered audio company’s Forever Series, the fully modular and upgradeable Model One is designed to grow with your needs and accommodate distant updates when they become available. Arguably the first-ever “future-proof” ‘table, the 40-pound Model One walks the talk with an industry-leading 10-year manufacturer warranty. Built to last? You guessed it, friend.
Anchored by an innovative motor drive and platter module mounted on a thick aluminum plate, and which comes equipped with a resonance-damping plate to keep vibrations away, Model One features a 300RPM belt-drive motor with two-speed pulley for exceptional precision and control. Its “Forever Platter” takes the form of a two-inch-thick, 12-inch-diameter assembly with an inverted bearing to minimize surface-area contact between both components, thereby reducing friction and enhancing smoothness. It’s all-around modular construction allows you to effortlessly service, adjust, package, replace, or change the deck when you want. VPI plans to release new models that integrate with this exact platform.
The 21.375 x 15.75-inch (WD) Model One also benefits from a brand-new three-point floating suspension system that provides excellent isolation from external resonances. Fully adjustable and made of high-tech polymer, it works to stabilize the turntable, decrease motor noise, and reduce all sorts of vibrations. It works in concert with another brand-new offering — the VPI S-tonearm. This 10-inch, S-shaped, statically balanced mechanism boasts solid aluminum architecture, azimuth adjustment, VTA in the arm base, ABEC 5 bearings, a locking threaded counterweight for fine-tuning, and one-piece high-purity 69 VPI copper wire from the headshell to the RCA connection for spectacular signal transmission.
All told, Model One plays LPs with the kind of accuracy, expressionism, background quiet, and tonal insight that help music spring to life in your listening space. Plus, it gives you the kind of flexibility and assurance that have long been missing from the turntable field. Not to mention U.S.A.-made build quality and VPI’s decades of expertise in the analog realm.
