Description

High-Value, Budget-Friendly NAD C 316BEE V2 Integrated Amplifier Includes MM Phono Preamplifier for Vinyl Capability, 100W of Dynamic Power, and High-Grade Components

An improved successor to The Absolute Sound's Editors' Choice Award-winning C 316BEE, the cosmetically enhanced NAD C 316BEE V2 integrated amplifier comes with everything its predecessor featured and adds an MM phono preamplifier to place analog playback in its diversified arsenal. Hands-down one of the most high-value budget integrated models in high-end audio, C 316BEE V2 boasts 40W continuous output, a headphone amplifier, toroidal power transformer, and NAD's PowerDrive Circuit to optimize the power-supply settings and provide undistorted performance. Class-leading specs for noise, distortion, stereo imaging, and detail retrieval abet five line-level inputs, defeatable tone controls, and a front-panel input for a smartphone or tablet. It even includes a remote control. For the money, you simply cannot do better: 100% Music Direct Guaranteed.

“The entry-level C 316 is still the go-to amp for audiophile newbies who crave sonic neutrality, good power output, nice tactile feel, and NAD’s characteristic quality control.”
—Neil Gader, The Absolute Sound, Editors’ Choice Award

Enormous Value: PowerDrive Circuit and Other Hallmark NAD Parts
NAD's PowerDrive Circuit offers a remarkable combination of high current drive needed for complex loudspeaker loads and high levels of undistorted dynamic power. By monitoring the precise operating condition of the power amplifier, PowerDrive automatically optimizes the power-supply settings for uniformly low distortion and maximum power in the real world of music listening. As featured NAD's Masters Series models, PowerDrive uses a complex analog computer to determine the optimal settings. For C 316BEE V2, NAD's Director of Advanced Development, Bjorn Erik Edvardsen, developed a clever new computation circuit requiring fewer parts at a much lower cost without any reduction in effectiveness. All the other hallmarks of NAD technology are present, from the generously sized toroidal power transformer and low ESR smoothing capacitors, to the multiple regulated secondary supplies, to the heavy duty discrete output transistors.

Class-Leading Specs Include 100W of Dynamic Power
While C 316BEE V2 has everything necessary for musical enjoyment, it is refreshingly limited to the essentials: six inputs, one set of speakers, a headphone jack, and full function remote control. It has a compact size and a handsome yet understated exterior. Yet C 316BEE V2 is far from a stripped-down product. With five line level inputs, an MM phono preamplifier, full IR remote control, defeatable tone controls, and a front panel input for a phone or tablet, it arrives fully equipped to be the control center for a high -performance music system. Continuous power is a conservative 40 watts, and dynamic power is impressively more than 100 watts, providing far more usable power on tap than other amplifiers at this price. And this power is available across the entire audible band at a class-leading 0.03%. The impressive dynamic power reserves make C 316BEE V2 sound both articulate and alive. The silent background and low distortion gives a sense of solidity and presence to your music.
