2013's AM served as the Platinum-certified fifth studio album from Arctic Monkeys and follow-up to 2011's critically lauded Suck It and See. AM featured 11 new tracks and was produced by James Ford and co-produced by Ross Orton in California at Sage & Sound Recording and Rancho De La Luna in Joshua Tree close to the band's adopted hometown of Los Angeles. The album was engineered by Ian Shea (Coldplay, John Mayer) and mixed by multi-Grammy Award winner Tchad Blake (Elvis Costello, The Black Keys). Josh Homme, Pete Thomas and Bill Ryder Jones all make guest appearances on AM – as do the words of English punk rock performance poet John Cooper Clarke, on the track "I Wanna Be Yours." One of the group's most successful releases to date, it yielded a plethora of singles including "R U Mine?", "Do I Wanna Know?", "Why'd You Only Call Me When You're High?", "One for the Road", "Arabella", and "Snap Out of It." AM took home British Album of the Year at the 2014 BRIT Awards, was nominated for the 2013 Mercury Prize and received a Best Rock Performance nomination for "Do I Wanna Know?" at the 57th Grammy Awards in 2015.
