Jackie McLean Jackie's Pal on Hybrid Mono SACD

In the case of this 1956 Prestige release, Jackie's Pal is none other than trumpeter Bill Hardman who McLean champions justifiably here after the pair left the Charles Mingus workshop and before they both joined Art Blakey's Jazz Messengers. The excellent date finds the jazz greats in a quintet rounded out by Mal Walldron (piano), Paul Chambers (bass) and Philly Joe Jones (drums).

This Hybrid SACD is compatible with all CD players. The "mini LP" jackets feature printed wraps mounted to chipboard shells, producing an authentic, "old school" look and feel.
