This 1956 hard bop Prestige release features Phil Woods and Donald Byrd co-leading a quintet rounded out by Al Haig (piano), Teddy Kotick (bass) and Charlie Persip (drums). The 6-song set is dominated by four strong originals from the prolific Woods including "House of Chan" and "In Walked George" which also see the alto saxophonist taking solo honors in style.
This Hybrid SACD is compatible with all CD players. The "mini LP" jackets feature printed wraps mounted to chipboard shells, producing an authentic, "old school" look and feel.
