This marks the very first time Tupac Shakur's 1991 debut, 2Pacalypse Now, has been available on vinyl in the U.S. To celebrate the cornerstone record's 25th anniversary, Respect The Classics is offering the album on the format at long last. The 25th Anniversary edition of 2Pacalypse Now will be packaged as a gatefold double LP and comes pressed on 180g vinyl courtesy of RTI. As relevant today as ever, the platinum-certified effort features the inner city poet's biting commentary on many social ills American society is still contending with a quarter-century later including racism, police brutality, poverty, and teenage pregnancy. Never one to shy away from controversy, the album is home to such politicized singles as "Trapped," "Brenda's Got a Baby" and "If My Homie Calls."
