Ace Frehley burst onto the hard rock music scene in 1973 as co-founder and lead guitarist with Kiss, who became one of the biggest rock groups of all time. After many successful albums and concert tours, he went solo in 1982 and has maintained a very active and historic recording career, including several reunions with Kiss over the decades.
1989 saw the release of his stellar Trouble Walkin' album, which features a plethora of hard rock anthems like "2 Young 2 Die," "Five Card Stud," a Kiss revisit with "Hide Your Heart," as well as the stunning title track "Trouble Walkin'."
The Trouble Walkin' album continues to be championed by the fans thanks to even more hard rock and metal radio favorites like "Shot Full of Rock," "Lost in Limbo," the masterful instrumental "Fractured III" and a brilliant ELO/The Move reading of the smash hit "Do Ya," all of which make Trouble Walkin' one of the more important hard rock albums of the late '80s.
For this release, the Frehley's Comet band consisted of the legendary Ace Frehley on lead guitar/vocals, Anton Fig (Mick Jagger/Paul Simon) on drums, John Regan (Peter Frampton) on bass/vocals and Richie Scarlet (Sebastian Bach/Mountain) handling second guitar.
By the end of the eighties, the medium of choice was compact disc, so the original vinyl release of Ace's Trouble Walkin' was fairly difficult to purchase, that is until now...
Friday Music is very pleased to welcome back Ace Frehley's Trouble Walkin' on first-time-ever colored vinyl. This unique pressing makes this highly collectable for the fans and lovers of the hard rock sound of Ace Frehley.
Produced by Ace Frehley, Eddie Kramer (Jimi Hendrix) and John Regan, and mastered impeccably by Joe Reagoso (Dokken/Kix/Alice Cooper/Tommy Bolin) from the Atlantic Records tapes, this stunning album will be one of the most important hard rock revisits of the year.
As an added bonus, the LP will be featured in a first-time-ever gatefold cover to further enhance your Ace Frehley experience.
