This Vinyl Lovers collector's edition reissue contains one of B.B. King's finest albums, the masterpiece King of the Blues, originally released in May 1960 by the Crown imprint. The set opens with "I've Got a Right to Love My Baby," the B-side of King's big comeback single "Sweet Sixteen" and also includes "Partin' Time" which topped out at No. 8 on the charts and "I'm King" which finds B.B. at his boasting best. His modern style, which combined rock 'n' roll and R&B with the jump blues, is fully developed throughout, and his consistency from track to track is remarkable. Also included here are two bonus tracks from the same period: the fabulous "The Woman I Love" and "We Can't Make It."
