Ben Folds Five's Sophomore 1997 Studio Album Whatever and Ever Amen on LP. Featuring Their Biggest Hit, “Brick”.
On May 17, 2024 Legacy Recordings will be reissuing Ben Folds Five’s most popular album, Whatever and Ever Amen. The album, originally released in 1997, has been out of print and this will be a straight reissue on standard weight vinyl. The album, featuring their biggest hit, “Brick” originally went platinum in the U.S. and saw chart success in the U.K., Japan, Canada, and Australia. The album also features fan favorite songs like "Kate", "Song for the Dumped” and "Fair".
After the release of "The Unauthorized Biography of Reinhold Messner" in 1999, the band decided to part ways. Each member pursued solo projects, and Ben Folds continued to have a successful career as a solo artist.
Despite their relatively short time together, Ben Folds Five left a lasting impact on the alternative rock scene of the 1990s, and their music continues to be appreciated by fans. In 2012, the band reunited, and they occasionally perform together, delighting both longtime followers and new audiences.
