2019 marks the 150th anniversary of Hector Berlioz's death (on March 8, 1869). This recording is the very first made by Charles Munch and the Orchestre de Paris, captured between October 23rd and 26th 1967, three weeks before the inaugural concert at the Théâtre des Champs-Elysées on November 14th 1967, with the same Symphonie Fantastique among other works by Debussy and Stravinsky.
