Cannibal Corpse Tomb Of The Mutilated on LP
Includes 22" x 22" Cover Poster!
Originally released through Metal Blade Records in 1992, Tomb of The Mutilated is the Scott Burns-produced third album from American death metal legends Cannibal Corpse and the last featuring founding guitarist Bob Rusay. The album was banned in Germany until 2006, due to the graphic cover art. Chris Barnes' vocals on Tomb of The Mutilated are exceptionally guttural, and the liner notes proudly state that an "electronic harmonizer was not used to create any vocals on Tomb of The Mutilated."
"What Cannibal Corpse unwittingly did, specifically on Tomb, is take disparate concepts (music, lyrics, art, touring, merchandise, distribution) and roll them into one gigantic, pus/bile-gushing machine that everyone from the record-buying public to idea-starved bands wanted a piece of...Basically, Tomb of the Mutilated was the most grotesque, yet commercially viable, death metal album ever." - Decibel
