Dayme Arocena's Fifth Studio Album Alkemi on LP.
ALKEMI is an album that strives for the “golden formula”, the ideal harmony between Jazz and its Pop, Latin, Caribbean, Urban, and Modern counterparts in Afro-Latin culture and brings Daymé out of her comfort zone in order to show her versatility and underline this new phase for Dayme opening up to a broader audience with her sound.
Produced by the quintessential latin urban fusion producer Eduardo Cabra (28-time Latin Grammy and Grammy winner combined), ALKEMI is an ode to sound experimentation and a tenacious discourse that stands out for its history of resistance, strength, and pride. The participation of other important figures of Latin music such as Vicente García and Rafa Pabön complement the sound experience of the album and exalt the figure of Daymé as the leading figure of the Afro-Latin movement. Finally, the emotional framework of the album integrates a narrative that stands out for its strength, sensuality, joy and nostalgic character that invites dance and movement.
