Duran Duran, the premier band of the video generation and a pioneer of the New Romantic era, thrived longer and sold more records than any of their peers. Co-produced with Chic hit maker Nile Rodgers, 1986's Notorious is the English superstars' fourth full-length effort and first comprised largely of material from the trimmed down trio line-up of Simon Le Bon (vocals), John Taylor (bass) and Nick Rhodes (keyboards). The bass and brass heavy album is as rhythm-oriented as anything in the band's catalog with the seductive title track and "Skin Trade" both hitting the charts.
