180g Vinyl 10LP Box Set includes EC's Reprise Studio Albums Spanning 2001-2010 Plus an Exclusive LP of Rarities from the Era; Remastered by Bob Ludwig at Gateway Studios in Maine with Vinyl Mastering by Chris Bellman at Bernie Grundman Mastering in Los Angeles
Eric Clapton, one of music's most influential and successful recording artists, joined Reprise Records in 1983, launching a prolific period that spans 30 years and encompasses some of his most celebrated work. The Complete Reprise Studio Albums: Volume I revisited Clapton's first six albums for Reprise along with an exclusive bonus LP featuring rarities from the era.
Early 2023 sees the release of The Complete Reprise Studio Albums: Volume II, a companion vinyl box set that features Clapton's Reprise studio albums spanning 2001-2010, along with an exclusive LP of rarities from that era. The rarities LP was compiled and produced by Simon Climie and covers the same period as the box. Most of the eight tracks are out of print, hard to find, or previously unreleased on vinyl. The ten LP set picks up with Reptile and concludes with the eponymously titled Clapton. Originally released as a CD/DVD, the box also sees the first vinyl release of Sessions for Robert J.
Each of the albums has been remastered by Bob Ludwig at Gateway Studios in Maine and the vinyl mastering was done by Chris Bellman at Bernie Grundman Mastering in Los Angeles. Simon Climie, Clapton's long-time co-producer and engineer, oversaw these definitive remasters which are pressed on 180-gram vinyl. To further elevate the audio quality, Me & Mr. Johnson (originally released as a single LP) has been remastered as a 3-sided double album – to ensure that no single LP side exceeds 20 minutes. The album has an etching on side 4.
