For over a half a century, Etta James all but defined the role of the quintessential rhythm & blues vocalist. Transcending all musical categories and styles, Etta has earned inductions into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, the Rhythm and Blues Hall of Fame, and the Rockabilly Hall Of Fame. Throughout her peerless career, James created a remarkably deep and diverse catalog of R&B, blues, soul, pop and jazz recordings and has been cited as a major influence by a wide range of artists. Etta's iconic debut, At Last!, was issued in 1960 on Chess subsidiary label, Argo. Phil and Leonard Chess showcased the singer backed by orchestral arrangements on many tracks, including "At Last" and "Trust In Me." The record spawned four singles that reached the R&B and pop charts between 1960 and 1961: "All I Could Do Was Cry," "Trust in Me," "At Last," and "My Dearest Darling." At Last! also contains covers of pop and jazz standards, such as "Stormy Weather," "A Sunday Kind of Love," and "I Just Want to Make Love to You."
