Four Tops' 1970 Studio Album Still Waters Run Deep on LP.
Still Waters Run Deep was released on Motown Records in March 1970 and features the Top 30 hits, “Still Water (Love),” co written by Smokey Robinson and their cover of “It’s All in the Game.” Produced by Frank Wilson, the album remained in the Top 40 of the Billboard 200 for 42 weeks, peaking at #21.
The Four Tops are a legendary American vocal quartet, best known for their string of hits in the 1960s and 1970s. The group's original lineup consisted of lead singer Levi Stubbs, Abdul "Duke" Fakir, Renaldo "Obie" Benson, and Lawrence Payton.
Hailing from Detroit, Michigan, the Four Tops began their career in the 1950s, initially signing with Chess Records before finding greater success at Motown Records in the early 1960s. At Motown, they became one of the label's most iconic acts, alongside artists like The Temptations, The Supremes, and Marvin Gaye.
