Released in 1996, her debut album, Ill Na Na, changed the game for women in hip hop, becoming a blueprint for other female MCs. Featuring the Top 10 hits, “Get Me Home (feat. Blackstreet)” and “I’ll Be (feat. Jay-Z),” the album reached #7 on the Billboard 200 and was certified platinum.
