Acknowledged as one of the finest musicians that the British Isles has ever produced, and with a career that dated back to the 1960s, there were few musical genres that Gary Moore had not turned his adroit musical hand to. Gracing the line-ups of several notable rock bands - Thin Lizzy, Colosseum II and (the original) Skid Row, in his time - he also established himself as a world-class guitarist, with few equals. The late-70s and early-80s were characterized by Moore's restless search for the best musical settings for his talents. With Close As You Get, originally released in 2007, Moore continued the musical journey he started with his highly successful album Old New Ballads Blues by mixing reinterpretations of blues classics such as "Have You Heard?" by John Mayall and "Thirty Days" by Chuck Berry with his own compositions. Being out of print on vinyl for years, Close As You Get is now available again on heavyweight double 180g vinyl LP.
