Because Sound Matters' One-Step process has created the definitive-sounding audiophile version of Green Day’s Dookie. Spread across four sides at 45RPM from the original analog master tapes, Dookie has never sounded better. Special care has been taken to faithfully preserve the original sound with exceptional clarity and depth, capturing the recording's nuances and subtleties at every step.
This One-Step version is strictly limited to 3,000 copies. The album is housed inside a top quality, foil-stamped, uniquely designed numbered slipcase. The enclosed gatefold double LP features an “Old Style” double gatefold tip-on jacket with original artwork.
Green Day’s third album, Dookie, was originally released February 1, 1994 and was their major label debut. It was their first collaboration with producer Rob Cavallo. The release has gone on to sell more than 30 million copies worldwide and is one of the best-selling albums of all time.
Dookie had four successful singles: “Longview”, “Basket Case”, “Welcome To Paradise”, and “When I Come Around”! Dookie won a Grammy Award in 1995 for Alternative Album of the Year and peaked at number 2 in the US on the Billboard Top 200 Chart.
