Description

Green Day Dookie One-Step 180g 45RPM 2LP Pressed at RTI and Limited to 3,000 Numbered Copies: Because Sound Matters Version Features Lacquers Cut by Chris Bellman a

Because Sound Matters' One-Step process has created the definitive-sounding audiophile version of Green Day’s Dookie. Spread across four sides at 45RPM from the original analog master tapes, Dookie has never sounded better. Special care has been taken to faithfully preserve the original sound with exceptional clarity and depth, capturing the recording's nuances and subtleties at every step.

This One-Step version is strictly limited to 3,000 copies. The album is housed inside a top quality, foil-stamped, uniquely designed numbered slipcase.  The enclosed gatefold double LP features an “Old Style” double gatefold tip-on jacket with original artwork.

Green Day’s third album, Dookie, was originally released February 1, 1994 and was their major label debut. It was their first collaboration with producer Rob Cavallo. The release has gone on to sell more than 30 million copies worldwide and is one of the best-selling albums of all time.

Dookie had four successful singles: “Longview”, “Basket Case”, “Welcome To Paradise”, and “When I Come Around”! Dookie won a Grammy Award in 1995 for Alternative Album of the Year and peaked at number 2 in the US on the Billboard Top 200 Chart.

Notes For This Release:

  • Dookie was recorded and mixed on analog tape. The original analog master tapes were directly used as the audio source for this One-Step pressing.
  • Because Sound Matters used the Neotech VR900-D2 180g high-performance vinyl compound, the same as what is known as SuperVinyl.
  • Chris Bellman at Bernie Grundman Mastering cut the lacquers.
  • Dorin Sauerbier at Record Technology, Inc (R.T.I.) has been plating records for decades and has done more One-Step processing than anybody.
  • Record Technology, Inc did the pressing.
  • The  slipcases and double-gatefold “Old Style” tip on original art jackets were printed by Stoughton Printing Company.
