The birth of GWAR! This reissue of GWAR's debut album comes with reworked art including comics only released that year and photos from the album release party in Richmond, VA way back in 1988.

Gwar is an American heavy metal band known for their elaborate science fiction-themed costumes, satirical lyrics, and theatrical live performances. Formed in 1984 in Richmond, Virginia, Gwar has carved out a unique niche in the music world, blending elements of thrash metal, punk rock, and shock rock. The band's original lineup included Dave Brockie (vocals, playing the character Oderus Urungus), Hunter Jackson (Techno Destructo), and Chuck Varga (Sexecutioner), among others.

Gwar's costumes, often grotesque and monstrous, are integral to their identity, with each member portraying a character from a storyline involving intergalactic warriors. Their stage shows are infamous for featuring graphic violence, over-the-top antics, and copious amounts of fake blood and fluids, creating a unique and immersive concert experience.
