Historic 1968 recordings from Duane and Gregg Allman's pre Allman Brothers Band Hour Glass available on vinyl for the first time in over 50 years! Mastered in 2019 by Tom Lewis from the original Liberty Records analog master tapes at Jim Hawkins' Studio 1093 in Athens, Georgia. Vinyl cut by Kevin Gray at Cohearent Audio and pressed at Record Technology Inc. Power of Love followed up the group's eponymous 1967 album and served as the final release by the band before forming the Allman Brothers Band. Produced by Dallas Smith, Hour Glass was more of a commercial soul-pop project spurned on by Liberty but Duane and Gregg's immense talents shine nonetheless and it's certainly compelling to hear the music mavericks in this light.
