Lapse is the first new album from IDAHO since 2011’s You Were A Dick. The ten new songs are engraved with the painterly strains of 4-string guitar feedback that are IDAHO’s long-standing signature: rich melancholia lavished by Jeff Martin bittersweetly on his heartrending, cinematic songs. Set against the arid backdrop of 29 Palms, California, Lapse is an album about relationships, and relationships built on music: a snapshot of IDAHO’s quintessential sound, captured anew and in flux.
