With wisdom in his lyrics and feeling in his blunt smoke and liquor treated voice, Jadakiss has spent the last two decades entrenching himself in the upper echelons of the rap game alongside the likes of Notorious B.I.G., Jay-Z, Nas, DMX, and more. Ignatius is Jada's first studio album since his 2015 Top 5 Dead or Alive and is named after Ignatius Maurice "Icepick Jay" Jackson, a Ruff Ryders A&R/producer and close friend who passed away in 2017. "The album is not sad," he told BET. "It's gonna make you happy, sad and dance. It'll be like the emotions you'd have at a funeral. You go to the funeral, you cry. You go to the burial, you cry. You go to the repass, and laugh, and reminisce. This album is the same type of way." Ignatius features appearances by Pusha T, Justin Jesso, Ty Dolla $ign, 2Chainz, Rick Ross, Emanny, Dej Loaf, Nino Man, Millyz, John Legend and Chayse.
