Enclosure is the eleventh full-length solo release from John Frusciante and follow-up to his 2012 effort PBX Funicular Intaglio Zone. The experimental nine-song set was recorded while Frusciante was also producing Black Knights' 2013 album Medieval Chamber.
"Enclosure, upon its completion, was the record which represented the achievement of all the musical goals I had been aiming at for the previous 5 years," John shared. "It was recorded simultaneously with Black Knights' Medieval Chamber, and as different as the two albums appear to be, they represent one investigative creative thought process. What I learned from one fed directly into the other. Enclosure is presently my last word on the musical statement which began with PBX."
Although Frusciante is best known for his three stints as the integral guitarist in the Red Hot Chili Peppers, he also has an active solo career, having released a dozen albums under his own name. His diverse solo recordings include elements ranging from experimental rock and ambient music to new wave and electronica.
