Johnny Winter Johnny Winter on 180g Import LP from Speakers Corner
Johnny Winter's eponymous 1969 Columbia release announced loudly that there was a new guitar-slinger on the scene. The barnstorming 9-song set features audacious covers of such blues classics as B.B. King’s “Be Careful with a Fool,” Sonny Boy Williamson’s “Good Morning Little School Girl,” Robert Johnson’s “When You Got a Good Friend” and Lightnin’ Hopkins’ “Back Door Friend," not to mention two scorching Winter originals in “Dallas” and “I’m Yours and I’m Hers.” Truly as hard-hitting and blues soaked as it was over 40 years ago!
