200g 45RPM 2LP-Set Mastered from the Original Analog Tapes by Kevin Gray at Cohearent Audio
"Julie London's sultry voice...the vocal blending of an authentic Mexican vocal trio...mariachi-style trumpets for added color...these are the fine ingredients of this album - Julie's own inimitable salute to some of the choicest Latin American songs ever to grace both sides of the border. The unique harmonies of the voices and the blending of the trumpets provide something entirely new in backgrounds for Julie's always luscious vocal styling, giving it that extra spice that these all time popular Latin favorites call for. This is lights-down-low Latin listening for all those with a little fire in their soul." - original liner notes
Analogue Productions has brought back Julie London's 1963 classic Sings Latin In A Satin Mood in dramatic, deserving fashion. Remastered from the original analog tapes by Kevin Gray at Cohearent Audio, and plated and pressed on double 200-gram vinyl at Quality Record Pressings, the crispness and vibrancy of this recording is spectacular. And they've cut this version at 45 RPM, meaning the 12 tracks are spread over two LPs for even better cartridge tracking for superior sound quality. Originally a single LP jacket, AP has also upgraded to deluxe tip-on gatefold packaging here and incorporates more archival photographs.
