Kate Bush's 2011 Remix Album Director's Cut on 180g 2LP. Featuring New Lacquers Cut from the 2018 Remasters by Bernie Grundman and Overseen by Mastering Engineer James Guthrie. Pressed at Record Industry in the Netherlands.
Kate Bush and Fish People Records are proud and excited to announce new 2023 pressings of all 10 of Kate Bush's albums.
"It's very exciting to see people appreciating the physical presence of an album released on vinyl. It's how it's always been for me, especially when I was a teenager. The whole buzz of the record store was part of the experience. Buying an album was an event." - Kate Bush
The records are all pressed on 180g vinyl at the world-renowned Record Industry plant in the Netherlands. New lacquers were cut from the 2018 remasters by Bernie Grundman and overseen by mastering engineer James Guthrie.
Director's Cut is Kate's first remix album and was released on May 16, 2011 on Kate's own label, Fish People. On Directors Cut Kate revisits a selection of tracks from her albums The Sensual World and The Red Shoes. Kate has re-recorded some elements whilst keeping the best musical performances of each song — making it something of a director's cut but in sound, not vision.
