Keith Jarrett Treasure Island on LP
1974's Treasure Island is the second of two albums famed jazz pianist/composer/bandleader Keith Jarrett cut for the Impulse label following 1973's Fort Yawuh. Jarrett handles soprano saxophone and piano duties while apt support comes from arguably his finest all around band which includes Dewey Redman (tenor saxophone), Charlie Haden (bass) and Paul Motian (drums). The musicians are in top form here and the interplay is tight from sublime opener "The Rich (And The Poor)" through to the elegant title track and the taut "Angles (Without Edges)."
