Leo Wright's radiant 1960 Atlantic debut as a leader, recorded at a time when he was cutting excellent sides with Lalo Schifrin and Dizzy Gillespie, finds the longtime sideman on alto saxophone and flute implementing both the lyricism and Latin influences of the former and the soulful expression of the latter's combos.
