Leon Russell was a musical genius. He played, arranged and produced some of the most popular recordings of all time. His collaborations with Joe Cocker, Willie Nelson, Elton John and many others have all stood the test of time, while his solo album were that of legend and major sales success stories, as his live concert tours were spectacular events in themselves.

The 2018 Rock Hall Of Fame inductee would go on to work with such luminaries as The Beach Boys, George Harrison, RIngo Starr, Eric Clapton, Bob Dylan, Frank Sinatra, The Rolling Stones, Ray Charles, Jan & Dean, Gary Lewis & The Playboys, Delaney & Bonnie, The Band, Glen Campbell, The Byrds, Flying Burrito Brothers......the list goes on and on.

He also was inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2011 and won several Grammy Awards. He was also a record label owner with his own imprint Paradise Records. He was truly a rock and pop music pioneer of which will never be duplicated.

1976's "Wedding Album" was a major release for Leon Russell as he began his long association with Warner Music with his own imprint Paradise Records, delivering a Top 30 masterwork with his then wife Mary Russell (McCreary).

The "Wedding Album" was a success not only at retail, but rock and pop radio played several of its stellar tracks like the powerful love song "Windsong" which features the late great Marty Grebb on saxophone, plus Bobby Womack's "Sunlight" which also features the late legend on production and guitar.

More fanfare like "Lavender Blue" and "Love's Supposed To Be That Way" featuring the extraordinary teamwork of Leon and Mary Russell, brought them more acclaim as television programs like "Saturday Night Live" had the duo perform their classic "Satisfy You" which is also featured on this great album.

The Lp also features many guest musicians including Bobby Womack, Nigel Olsson (Elton John), Willie Weeks (Doobie Brothers/Boz Scaggs), Roger Linn, Julius Wechter (Baja Marimba Band/Phil Spector)
