Love is an American rock band formed in Los Angeles in 1965. Led by singer and guitarist Arthur Lee, the band became one of the most influential acts of the 1960s. Love's music was a diverse blend of rock, folk, psychedelia, and orchestral pop, making them a seminal group in the development of the psychedelic rock genre.
Their third album, "Forever Changes" (1967), is considered a masterpiece and one of the greatest albums of all time, featuring lush arrangements and introspective lyrics. Despite their critical success, Love never achieved substantial commercial success, leading to frequent lineup changes and a decline in activity by the early 1970s.
Arthur Lee continued to perform under the Love name with various lineups until his death in 2006, cementing the band's legacy as a pioneering force in American rock music.
