Back on Vinyl as Part of 30th Anniversary (#MC30) Celebration!
International superstar Mariah Carey continues the celebration of her 30th Anniversary (#MC30) as a recording artist with the release of 16 commemorative 12″ vinyl editions of albums from her groundbreaking catalog originally issued on Columbia/Legacy and Universal Music Group. The releases will begin in October 2020 and continue into January 2021. On 2009's Gold-certified Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel, the best-selling female artist of all time with the distinct five-octave vocal range wanted "big ballads" and "each song to be its own snapshot of a moment in a story." The album spawned five singles, including the massive hit "Obsessed," Mariah Carey's twenty-seventh top ten hit, plus "H.A.T.E.U.," "Up Out My Face," and "Angels Cry." Memoirs also includes a cover of Foreigner's "I Want to Know What Love Is" which the band's Mick Jones said, "retained the integrity of the song. You know, the arrangement is very similar to the original. They haven't tampered with the song too much. She's captured a certain emotional thing, a feeling." Vinyl 2LP-set.
