Mark Lanegan's 2004 Studio Album Bubblegum XX on 2LP. Newly Remastered by Geoff Pesche at Abbey Road.
Beggars Arkive in conjunction with the Estate of Mark Lanegan, are honored to celebrate the 20th Anniversary of Mark Lanegan’s acclaimed 2004 album Bubblegum.
Released on Beggar's Banquet in 2004, Lanegan's 15-track opus Bubblegum is his sixth solo effort overall and his most successful to date. The unflinching album finds Lanegan looking his demons straight in the eye throughout a set of songs that search for the truth no matter how dark and painful it may get along the way. It wouldn't be a Mark Lanegan release if the frequent collaborator didn't enlist the help of some of his famous friends and he does just that here to great effect with guest appearances from PJ Harvey, Josh Homme and Nick Oliveri of Queens of the Stone Age, Greg Dulli, and Duff McKagan and Izzy Stradlin of Guns N' Roses.
In addition to his time in the Screaming Trees, acclaimed singer/songwriter Mark Lanegan has worked with Queens of the Stone Age, Mad Season, former Belle & Sebastian vocalist Isobel Campbell, Melissa Auf der Maur and formed The Gutter Twins with Afghan Whigs/Twilight Singers' Greg Dulli.
Bubblegum XX has been cut as a double LP and is newly remastered by Geoff Pesche at Abbey Road.
