1987's Bad was the third Michael Jackson album produced by Quincy Jones and was monumental in a number of ways. For one, Michael wrote nine of the album's ten tracks and received co-producer credit for the entire record. And as was his precedent at the time it shot to No. 1 around the world, making history with five consecutive No. 1 singles on the Billboard chart ("Bad," "Smooth Criminal," "The Way You Make Me Feel," "Man in the Mirror," "Dirty Diana"), producing ten chart-topping singles and moving well over 45 million copies. 

The legendary Bad World Tour was Michael's first concert tour as a solo artist and included 123 concerts attended by more than 4.4 million fans over sixteen months. When it concluded, the tour had shattered all previous touring records for attendance and total gross revenue adding three new entries in the Guinness World Records for the largest grossing tour in history, the tour with the largest attended audience and the most sold out shows at Wembley Stadium.
