Young Man with a Horn is a mono recording by the great jazz trumpeter Miles Davis which was recorded and released by Blue Note in 1952. Cut with Gil Coggins (piano), Jay Jay Johnson (trumpet), Jackie McLean (alto saxophone), Oscar Pettiford (bass) and Kenny Clarke (drums), five of the six songs were originally released as singles, with the exception of the track “How Deep Is the Ocean.” Young Man with a Horn will be reissued in its original 10” form as part of the overall Blue Note vinyl initiative spearheaded by current President, Don Was.
