Iconic Concert Album Features Crazy Horse and Solo Performances: Live Rust Remastered from the Original Analog Tapes at Bernie Grundman Mastering and Approved by Neil Young Himself
Featuring moving acoustic material and a possessed Crazy Horse on select tracks, Neil Young's 1979 concert recording Live Rust was issued just a mere months after its spiritual guide Rust Never Sleeps which was also cut largely live but with overdubs added later and limited audience noise. Captured on October 22, 1978 at the Cow Palace in San Francisco, California, the sprawling double album finds Young wearing both his folksinger and bandleader hats and gracefully mixing early classics ("Sugar Mountain," "After the Gold Rush," "The Loner," "Cinnamon Girl," "The Needle and the Damage Done") and then newer material ("Hey Hey, My My (Into the Black)," "Lotta Love," "Sedan Delivery," ""Powderfinger") in what adds up to be one hell of a show.
