2023 Expanded Vinyl 2LP Reissue with New Cover Art and Full-Length Version of "Pree-Sisters Swallowing a Donkey's Eye"
Jeff Mangum has always been Neutral Milk Hotel's central figure, and he's used that moniker for everything from his own solo excursions to marching band-like musical happenings. The projects's 1996 debut album, On Avery Island, is a wonderfully dense hodgepodge of song and sound, an ambitious, eclectic work that reflects the nomadic lifestyle that Mangum and his friends shared at the time. The album is awash with trombone, keyboards, overdriven acoustics and all together beautiful songs. 2023 expanded vinyl 2LP reissue with new new cover art and full-length version of "Pree-Sisters Swallowing a Donkey's Eye." Housed in a deluxe gatefold jacket with 11" x 11" paper insert.
