Paul Weller remains a true British icon, with a career in music spanning six decades. Weller has now had 50 top 40 albums across The Jam, The Style Council and his solo releases, including seven number ones. Since The Jam formed in 1976, Paul Weller – aka the Modfather - and his bands have been responsible for some of the most recognizable tracks of the era. "The Eton Rifles," "Going Underground" and "Town Called Malice" punctuated the six years and same number of albums for The Jam while "Long Hot Summer" and "My Ever Changing Moods" were highlights for The Style Council.
In the 1990's, Paul Weller embarked on a solo career, which has been marked by a wide range of musical influences, including rock, folk, and R&B. His solo albums, starting with "Paul Weller" in 1992, have received critical acclaim, and he continued to produce successful records like "Wild Wood" (1993), "Stanley Road" (1995), and "22 Dreams" (2008).
