Primus returned in 2014 stranger than ever with their delicious eighth studio album, Primus & The Chocolate Factory with The Fungi Ensemble, a tribute to the weird and wonderful world of Willy Wonka. Primus' classic lineup –  bassist Les Claypool, guitarist Larry Lalonde and drummer Tim "Herb" Alexander – reunited here for their first full-length release since 1995, a darker, tripped-out take on the classic 1971 musical Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. "The recording is about my early perception of the original Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory film," said Claypool. "The notion wasn't so much to go in and redo the soundtrack note for note as much as it was to utilize the classic elements of the music yet try to reflect some of the darker undertones of the Roald Dahl books, because when you read those books, there is an eerie and somewhat menacing aspect implied." This colored vinyl LP ressiue comes housed in a striking golden foil jacket.
