Reissued with Superior Remastered Audio on 180g Vinyl
Recorded in October of 1976 at New York City's Sundragon Studios, the songs on the Ramones' sophomore effort Leave Home (1977) flew by even faster than those contained on the band's breakout self-titled debut, but they're certainly no less entertaining. Indeed, the sound on this 30-minute opus of buzzsaw rock is better both from a production standpoint and from a musical standpoint, showing that the band was learning and growing as a result of the work they were putting in on the road. Songs like "Gimme Gimme Shock Treatment," "Pinhead," and the immortal "Sheena is a Punk Rocker" are so damn catchy that it's virtually impossible for listeners to deny their brilliance.
