Description

Reema's One for Sorrow, Two for Joy on Numbered Limited Edition One-Step 45RPM 2LP. Limited to 1000 Copies. All-Analog One-Step Pressing. Pressed at Optimal.

The pure analogue label LowSwing Records releases One for Sorrow, Two for Joy with 10 new original songs by UK artist Reema.

One for Sorrow, Two for Joy was recorded live with minimal overdubs, with Reema's vocals and guitars, Dan Hemmer, one of the world's greatest Hammond players, known for his part in the trio Blicher Hemmer Gadd (with Michael Blicher and Steve Gadd) on Hammond B3 organ, and Deutsche Jazzpreis 2022 winner Tilo Weber on drums and percussion. Additional musicians include Haggai Cohen-Milo on upright bass and bass guitar, and Guy Sternberg on Moog Minimoog synthesizer.

The album was recorded in pure analogue at the new LowSwing studio situated in Berlin, Germany. To the greatest possible extent, it contains live performances recorded with minimal overdubs, always driven by respect and passion for purist recording techniques.

The record was mastered and cut to lacquer at 45rpm at Emil Berlin Studios and later pressed on 3 sides (2 vinyl) at Optimal Media using the unique "One Step Processing" assuring crystal clear transients and high frequencies on the record.

One for Sorrow, Two for Joy is limited to 1,000 numbered copies and packaged in a luxurious gatefold cover.

LowSwing Records is a record label dedicated to the love of music on the analogue format. LowSwing recordings are recorded and mixed to analogue tape and then cut directly to vinyl. The heart of the label is LowSwing Recording Studio in Berlin (www.lowswing.de), where owner Guy Sternberg records, mixes, and produces exciting new artists with the production values of yesteryear.
