Seether is a South African rock band formed in 1999 in Pretoria, initially known as Saron Gas. The band was influenced by post-grunge and alternative metal styles, with heavy guitar riffs and emotionally intense lyrics. The group gained international recognition in the early 2000s after changing its name to Seether, partly due to the negative connotations of "Saron Gas." Their breakthrough came with their second album, Disclaimer (2002), which featured the hit single "Fine Again."
