First Ever Spanish Language EP!
Selena Gomez's first-ever Spanish language EP Revelación is a love letter to the Latin music community as well as an homage to her own heritage. Gomez spent her quarantine finalizing the rest of her Spanish-language album in her home studio. Uplifting and evocative, Revelación reinforces Gomez's tenacity for creating dynamic pop songs. Discussing the EP, Gomez said, "This new music is a labor of love for all of my Latin fans. Whether you speak Spanish or not I hope you can feel the emotion and passion. For me, that is the beauty of Latin music."
Building on the critical success of her 2020 album Rare, Gomez utilizes the same themes of self-love and confidence while exploring new musical territory with the quietly confident R&B and reggaeton tracks that Revelación is comprised of. Gomez collaborated with those musicians whom she respects and admires, such as DJ Snake, Rauw Alejandro, and Myke Towers who feature on the tracks "Selfish Love," "Baila Conmigo," and "Damelo To'," respectively. The album was also executive produced by Latin music veterans Tainy (Bad Bunny and J Balvin) and Neon16.
