Originally formed in 1983 in Minneapolis, MN, Soul Asylum has maintained their reputation for honest, heartfelt rock from their beginnings on scrappy local label Twin Tone (which concurrently nurtured the careers of seminal rockers the Replacements), through their commercially successful days on A&M and Columbia Records (where they scored a Grammy for the monster hit single "Runaway Train"). Featured on 1992 landmark Grave Dancers Union, the album spent 76 weeks on the Billboard music charts and was certified triple-Platinum in 1993, establishing Soul Asylum as one of the most successful rock groups of the first half of the '90s. Tracks like ''Home Sick'' and ''New World'' bear the roots of the country-rock revival while ''Somebody to Shove'' is pure joy Soul Asylum style. 30th anniversary colored 180g vinyl LP.
